Simply smashing! That's the only way to describe the season that Burzin Daruwala had to win his second Weekend title in 3 years. His final total of 181 was 15 points higher than Anand Rajan's 3 year old record. For good measure, his picking percentage of .761 blew away a two decade old FBP record. Yep, that's right - you could pick 3 out of 4 games right all year long and you'd STILL lose to the guy. My hat's off. In a conspiracy to bankrupt the pool, David Bowler, Tom Dingwall, and Jim Hale arranged a 3-way tie for the second Weekend spot, which means they all finish "in the pizza" and raise the Official Certificate generating load for your long-suffering FBP Commissioner. Congrats guys - make sure you come out to Flying Pie on the 28th to collect! C'est moi! Thanks heavens nobody gave the Rams a chance in the final game of the 2005 season 'cause otherwise I'd be sitting here nursing a grudge. Instead I'm pleased to announce that Steve Tolopka finishes in the #1 Monday Night spot for the first time in a decade. Yippee! Pizza: Date Change!

Hope you had fun this season -- it's been a wild ride as always. See you at the Banquet -- and next fall when we fire up FBP for our Silver Anniversary 25th season! (Sheesh -- we've become an institution!) |
