Simply smashing! That's the only way to describe the season that Burzin Daruwala had to win his second Weekend title in 3 years. His final total of 181 was 15 points higher than Anand Rajan's 3 year old record. For good measure, his picking percentage of .761 blew away a two decade old FBP record. Yep, that's right - you could pick 3 out of 4 games right all year long and you'd STILL lose to the guy. My hat's off.

In a conspiracy to bankrupt the pool, David Bowler, Tom Dingwall, and Jim Hale arranged a 3-way tie for the second Weekend spot, which means they all finish "in the pizza" and raise the Official Certificate generating load for your long-suffering FBP Commissioner. Congrats guys - make sure you come out to Flying Pie on the 28th to collect!

C'est moi! Thanks heavens nobody gave the Rams a chance in the final game of the 2005 season 'cause otherwise I'd be sitting here nursing a grudge. Instead I'm pleased to announce that Steve Tolopka finishes in the #1 Monday Night spot for the first time in a decade. Yippee!

Pizza: Date Change! The fabulous Season-Ending Pizza Banquet and Awards Ceremony is scheduled for lunchtime on Saturday January 21 (new date!) . We expect celebrities, supermodels, sports stars, and similar sibilant standouts will be flying into the City of Roses just for the occasion - but YOU get the best seats in the house. As usual, we'll meet at 12:30 PM at Flying Pie Pizzeria, 7804 SE Stark Street.  We often get the downstairs area to ourselves, so look for us there if we're not immediately visible. If you've dined there with us before, you know the food is good (that's spicy pepperoni!); check out this review on Citysearch.  And to remove your last excuse for not coming <grin>, here's a map to show you the way.  Please let me know if you'll be attending and if you have any special likes/dislikes since I usually pre-order some pizzas and drinks to start the food flowing quickly!
